I'm Thankful For All of Your Children

I'm writing to let you all know how thankful I am to work with all of your children each day. I'm lucky to say that I like my job and enjoy learning alongside your kids every day. I hope everyone has a restful and happy Thanksgiving. John Important Info: This is a friendly reminder that your Book Clubs orders are due by 11/30/17. Volunteers needed: Tuesday, November 14th at 12:45-1:45.  We are cutting veggies to make stone soup and need two volunteers to help supervise. Any takers please contact me. On a similar note please send in any veggies you want to donate to the making of our "SCS Stone Soup" on next Monday the 13th. Please send in a reusable shopping bag (example below) that your student can use to transport cold weather gear and lunch boxes to Essential Arts (EA -art, music, PE).  Three days per week we go from EA directly to recess and carrying all the outdoor gear proves to be challenging...  Our next Book Club orders are due by 11/30/17. November News

Thank you for understanding my absence last week.  My mother-in-law died unexpectedly and our family went to Wisconsin for the services.  Your kids were awesome in my absence and made some very cute cards for me as well. They worked to learn and grow even when I wasn't in the room and it's only November 1st!  That is a good indicator of a culture where learning and teamwork are valued.  Here is what the substitute put in the weekly staff memo: Some important information: Friday is pajama and stuffed animal day - they have earned both with great independent reading and following expected behaviors.
